Fiscal Planning

There is a tradition in our society to take resolution in the New Year. We all take resolution in the New Year to do something or not to do something. I think the most important resolution that we should take is The Investment planning. By this, we can improve our standard of living very easily. So, if you want to improve your standard of life by taking a resolution then take a resolution for Investment planning.

Make a fiscal goal in your life.

First of all, you have to make an Investment Objective. It must be very clear and concise. By doing this, you will be able to make an outline of savings after your Incomes and Expenditure. Another profit will be that you will grow with the pace of time. Make a resolution in the starting of the year to save 20% of your total monthly income. For example, if you want to buy a home in near future and save money for the Down Payment. You can save 20000 Rupees par month, that will be 240000 Rupees in a year. If it is not sufficient for your purpose, you can cut your expenses and increase your savings accordingly. By doing this, you will be able to get your dreams fulfilled in proper time period.

Get advice by your Investment Adviser

General people are very confused about how and where to get advice. They do not know where to invest their money to get good return. They follow traditional way of investing by doing Fixed Deposits in Public Sector Banks and Post Office. They often invest in Chit Fund Companies and Pongy Schemes in order to get more profit. In Fixed Deposits, one can get hardly 7 to 8% of returns every years. But it is not able to counter the effects of Dearness and in Chit Fund Companies, your whole savings will be lost forever. So, take advice by a financial adviser.

Investment options available in the market

There are a lot of investment options available in the market. You have to make use of it according to your needs. You should make decision in the context of your time frame, age, and your ability to take risk. If you are able to take risk you should go with Equity options. If you want to take medium risk you should make use of ELSS, Debt Fund, Mutual Fund. If you do not want to take any kind of risk and want to go safe you have to choose Fixed Deposits, LIC policies, PPF and Gold investments.

Means to get Income Tax Exemptions

There is often seen that people invest aimlessly in the last hour, in order to get Income Tax exemption u/c 80c of Income Tax Act. People have been investing in LIC Policies, National Savings certificates until now. But these are traditional ways of investments. Now more options are available for you in the market. Some of them are as follows:
  • Tax Savings Mutual Funds(ELSS).
  • Public Provident Fund.
  • Unit Linked Investment Program(ULIP)
  • LIC policies.
  • New Pension scheme(NPS).
  • Rajiv Gandhi Equity Savings scheme.
These are some Tax Benefit schemes which will be very beneficial if you want to invest in a Non-traditional ways.

Need to diversify your Portfolio

It is necessary to have diversity in your Portfolio, if you want good return in low risk. If some Investment options is not performing well other performing options would make up for your loss.

Water:A Valuable Resource.

Water is a very important resource in our planet. We cannot live without water. We need water to live. Not only we but animals and plants also need water to survive. There is 71 percent water on earth surface. Even our body has plenty of water in it. We need to drink three to five liters of water daily.
Water comprises of two atoms of Hydrogen and one atom of Oxygen. It is popularly known as H2O in English.

Uses of water

We drink water when we are thirsty. Animals also drink water when they feel thirst. Plants also need water to grow. We use water daily morning to brush our teeth, wash our face and take bath. We also need water to do many other things at home. Cooking food, washing clothes, cleaning and the house and mopping the floor need water. Water is also used in Industries. It is also used in Agriculture.

Sources of water

There is plenty of water present on the earth. Water is all around us. We find water in rivers, ponds, wells, lakes and undergrounds. Most of water comes from rain. We make wells and tube wells to get water from the ground. The water that we drink is called Potable water.

Properties of water

Water is only substance on the earth which is found in solid, liquid and gaseous forms simultaneously.
It has no colour, taste and smell.

Clean and safe water

Although plenty of water is present on earth but Potable clean water is not sufficiently present on the earth. We must drink clean water .Unclean water is not safe to drink. It can make us sick. Polio, Typhoid, Cholera are same contagious diseases which is spread by unclean water. The water we get in our taps may not be clean. Therefore we must boil and filter the water to make it safe for drinking. Boiling kills the bad germs in water. We must store the water in clean vessels and  cover them with lids.

Saving Water

Water is a very precious Resource. It is very important to life. We must not waste it. Keep the tap closed when you are not using it. We should reuse our household unclean water in our kitchen garden. Let us do our best to save every drop of water.

New Year Resolution.

The year 2018 is going to be ended very soon. This year has been very peaceful until now. We are waiting for New Year 2019 very enthusiastically. I hope that the year 2019 will fill more happiness in our life. In the year to come, I am waiting for following things to happen -
  1. Terrorism-free world: I want to see 2019 as Terrorism free society. We have seen more bloodshed in the name of Religion in the past many years. So, I am looking forward to a peaceful World in 2019.
  2. No more war: We have already seen Syrian war and devastation. We hope there will not be any war in 2019.
  3. Global warming: Global warming has become a big international issue. The temperature of earth is increasing year by year. We hope world leaders would take their responsibility and do something to cut the Discharge of the green house gases.
We should also take some responsibility towards our society. So, we should take some resolutions in the New Year to make our Earth more beautiful to live in. This should be-
  1. We should help the Poor and the Needy people.
  2. We should play an active role in Social issues.
  3. We should make the people aware about Growing Population.
  4. We should avoid the Gadgets and give more time to The nature.
In this way, we can help our earth become more friendly to live in.

Growing road accidents: A man made Epidemic.

Accident, Russia, Road, Machinery, Crash     Today I was going to my office with my bike, I saw a heartbreaking Accident. A biker was brutally killed in that accident with a car. The biker did not wear Helmet. He got a head injury and succumbed to the death. The car only got some trivial scratches. This is not the first time that I was seeing such type of accidents. Every now and then I would see such accidents. Sometimes a car with a Truck, a Truck with a Truck, a Bus with a Truck and many more with casualties. Every time many questions arise in my mind. As a result of this, rate of accidents has increased and it has turned into an Epidemic these days. Nearly about 1,50.000 people are dying par year in road accidents. This figure is increasing day by day. In pre-independence era there used to be Plague, Chicken Pox, Cholera, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and other infectious diseases, which we have fully controlled. But today this kind of MODERN EPIDEMIC is spreading itself without any hindrance. Is there no cure of it in Modern Science? Why are we so helpless today? I am going to throw some light on this issue so that society can be awared on this issue.

Why do road accidents rise these days?
There are many reasons for growing accidents in our country. After economic reform process of
1991, length of highways has increased considerably. The economic conditions of people in rural areas has increased and they are buying more two wheelers now. Under the Pradhanmantri Sadak Yojna(Prime Minister Road plan) the quality of roads in rural areas has been improved for some time. In urban areas more and more four-wheelers are coming on the road daily. As a result of this there are more traffics on the roads of our country. There are also some other reasons which has been listed here-

  • SPEED- Overspeed is the main reason for the fatal accidents in India. Mostly college going youths are dying in two wheeler accidents. More accidents are taking place on our Highways due to Over speeding vehicles. There is no speed limits rules in our country, if there is a rule, nobody follows these rules.
  • Driving under the influence of liquor- This is also one of the main reasons for accidents on the highways of our country. Recently our Apex court, Supreme court, in its verdict ordered that there should not be sold any kind of liquor in the vicinity of highways. It shows the gravity of situation.
  • IGNORANCE OF TRAFFIC LAWS- Ignorance of traffic laws is also a main reason for that. In our country, if we buy a TV, Freeze, Washing Machine or any kind of Home Appliances, we are given Manuals but if we get Driving Licence, we are not given any kind of rule-book.
  • STRAY ANIMALS- India is a home to Stray Animals. There are Cows, Dogs, Monkeys, Cats and other animals roaming openly on the Roads and Highways in India. Driving in India is so risky for these Stray Animals mainly Stray Dogs. Cows are seen everywhere in India due to religious reasons. Cow is considered a holy animal in Hindu religion and if Cows get old they are let open. And they become a menace for Bikers.
  • POPULATION AND POPULATION DENSITY- India is the second largest country after China in Population. It has more than 1.2 billion people at present. And there are more than five lac villages in our country. So our roads and Highways are every time crowded with Pedestrians. There are not Zebra crossings, Underpass to cross the roads and Highways in rural areas that lead to more and more accidents of Pedestrians.

Why are people so indifferent on this issue?

It is so disgusting to see that there is no Debate in National level on this issue. We, the people of India, are fatalist by nature. We believe that it is in our Destiny. We do not believe in our system. People know it very well that the Government is not going to do anything on that issue. No party talk on this issue. No party adjusted this issue in their Manifesto. Just because we did not raise this issue on National level. Although, local Governments have to give a Hefty Amount as compensation every year to the relatives of victims.

Who was responsible to check accidents on roads?

Central Government, State Governments, Local Bodies and people at large are responsible to check this issue. Central Government are responsible for National Highways, State Governments are responsible for State Highways and Local Bodies are responsible for local roads. All roads should be maintained professionally. Condition of roads should be very good. And responsibility should also be on people at large. We should be law abiding people. We should follow road safety rules.

Why are rate of casualties are so high in our country?

There should be a Trauma Center in every 50 kilometers. There should be Ambulances available in minutes call. There should also be available of all blood groups Blood. Air lifting facilities of victims should also be available. There should not be any liquor shop along the highways. There should be provisions for footpath for pedestrians.
